Daily revision, done.
Privacy Policy

Who this is for
re-wise is used by parents and guardians (who set up and manage their child's revision), and the children who do daily practice. Many of our children are aged 6–13, so we keep personal data minimal and put parent/guardian consent in front of every new child account.
Our promise on Pip and sources
Pip — our study buddy — and the wider re-wise engine are retrieval-augmented (RAG), not free-running large language models. We generate practice and coaching only from a defined, approved source set:
- Officially licensed, board-approved curriculum, grading and marking schemes that re-wise holds rights to use.
- Study material the parent/educator has self-produced or has the right to use, uploaded to their own account.
We do not train Pip on copyrighted third-party material we don't have rights to. We do not use children's work, uploaded material, parent details or any account data to train external public models. The engine evolves only through retrieval over the approved sources above, plus internal quality and safety improvements that respect the same boundaries.
What we collect
Children: first name, chosen username, grade, curriculum/board, the worksheets they do, their answers, self-rated stars, optional voice dictation (transcribed on-device when possible), and occasional one-tap wellbeing check-ins.
Parents/educators: name, email, the study material you upload, the worksheets you create, and the comments you leave on your child's work.
Everyone: minimal technical data needed to keep the app secure (session cookies, server logs scrubbed of sensitive content).

Parental consent — built in
A new child account stays inactive until a parent or guardian approves it via a single-use link shared at sign-up. Approving the link is what creates the parent login (in one step — see For Parents). Parents can contact us to remove a child's account and its data at any time.
How we use what we collect
To run the app: generate and retrieve practice from approved sources, coach children with Pip, track progress, and let parents/educators review and correct work. To keep children safe: filter generated content for age-appropriateness, and surface wellbeing signals to the parent. We do not sell data, do not use it for behavioural advertising, and do not share it with third parties except the secure infrastructure services that run our database, auth and language model inference under contractual data-protection terms.
Who can see what
A child's work is visible only to that child and the parent/educator linked to their account. Per-account access rules enforced at the database layer keep each family's data fully private. No child data is publicly browsable. Uploaded materials stay private to that account unless the parent/educator explicitly chooses to share a specific material with the community knowledge base.
Safeguarding children
Every interaction Pip has is reviewable. Pip will not give the final answer outright — it nudges, by design. Pip will not engage in unrelated chat, share personal opinions, request personal information from a child, or produce content outside the approved curriculum sources. Where a wellbeing check-in flags low mood we surface it gently to the parent/educator so they can follow up off-platform.
Storage, security and retention
Data is stored on managed, encrypted-at-rest infrastructure inside our chosen region. Auth and database access are protected by row-level security policies that re-evaluate on every query. We delete child accounts and their work on parent/educator request, and we delete inactive accounts after 18 months with a 30-day notice email first.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data. Reach us at privacy@re-wise.app. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
International transfers
Some sub-processors (e.g. language-model providers, email delivery) operate outside the UK/EU. Where that applies, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and additional safeguards required by UK GDPR / GDPR.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be highlighted in the app and reflected in the “Last updated” line above.
